Welcome to The Jack in the Green

New for summer 2009 is a fantastic bar menu (with several choices under £10.00), an irresistible à la carte selection, vegetarian menu and a delicious medley of Scott’s acclaimed desserts. There's also a new courtyard on the way for al fresco dining and drinking!

Over the last twelve months we have really enjoyed the quality of the raw ingredients from those closest to us. Carolyn Bellinger is just one such example. Her free range chickens, Saddleback pigs and superb range of salad leaves and seasonal vegetables all travel less than six miles to reach us. Drop in for a pint of Otter Ale, a ploughman’s or braised belly pork from our ever popular ‘Totally Devon’ menu and we guarantee an unforgettable experience.

The Jack can be whatever you want it to be - formal or informal, a place to celebrate birthdays, christenings, weddings and anniversaries. Our mantra is still to provide exceptional value for money and a dining option to suit any occasion - more so now than ever. We're also proud to support the Rugby Association's Wooden Spoon charity and donate 50 pence from every single sticky toffee pudding sold. In 2008 we served nearly 4,000 of them.

If you'd like to stay overnight and dine at the Jack then please click here for more details - Our friends Charlie and Julia at Larkbeare Grange will make sure you're extremely well looked after!
