Here at the Jack we prefer to let the exquisite raw materials from the fields and waters around us to speak for themselves. In slightly leaner times, our mantra is still to provide exceptional value for money and a dining option to suit any occasion.
We like our customers to be able to order something simple and then get something exceptional. Above all we aim for consistency in each and every meal that we serve. The same care and attention that goes into our carefully constructed Tasting Menu will also be lavished on the pub classics. The humble prawn cocktail has never tasted so good!
Matthew and the team really look forward to these colder months as a drop in temperature helps to intensify flavours. Consistency, of course, hinges on sourcing and that is where we count ourselves extremely lucky. We have always said the Jack is only as good as its suppliers.
Scott’s desserts have also taken on a more comforting, warming note. Can there be anything better than a classic Sticky Toffee Pudding when its cold outside? Better still we think when 50p from every one we serve goes straight to the Wooden Spoon Charity. So far this year we have raised almost £1,750 (Scott's other puddings are proving a distraction for some).
