Our Charity Jazz Weekend raised £1575 for the Wooden Spoon - Thank you to everyone who supported us
Work finished at the end of February 2009 to install a new and extremely energy efficient Electrolux kitchen at the Jack. The £350,000 investment comes after sixteen very successful years with Paul Parnell at the helm and Matthew Mason in charge of the stoves. In that time the Jack has become one of the most accoladed pub/restaurants in Devon.
The complete redesign has created a safer working environment for everyone and features under counter fridges, a bespoke pastry section with granite worktops, state of the art appliances and biological grease traps. Several induction units have also been incorporated to help create a cooler working environment and local tradesmen used throughout.
Paul believes the twenty five year life expectancy of the new equipment embodies the Jack’s unwavering commitment to their suppliers, loyal customers and the local economy. “This new kitchen will allow us to be even better at what we do and to keep pushing forward. Here’s to another sixteen fantastic years!”
