About The Jack in the Green Inn
Over the last fifteen years The Jack in the Green has grown to what it is today - one of the best Free House / Restaurants in the South West of England. Here you can enjoy consistently good food, outstanding service and warm hospitality all in superb comfortable surroundings.A big thank you must go to Matthew Mason, my talented Head Chef, Craig his Second Chef, Becky and Joanne my assistants and Chris my Restaurant Manager. Together we have achieved consistently high standards of food, service and attention to detail that I believe is a credit to them all.
Between us we have gained a reputation for a pub that can be whatever you want it to be - formal or informal, a place to celebrate birthdays, christenings, weddings and anniversaries or a place to have a glass of wine or a locally brewed pint. We don't mind if this is for two people or as one of my regulars did recently for his 50th Birthday - Jazz in the courtyard with canapés, followed by a four course gourmet dinner and lashings of Chilean wine for one hundred people.
Perhaps something that isn't so well known is our ability to provide superb food and excellent service during the day. The same Chefs and staff provide the same extensive menu and attention to detail during the lunch time period and on Sunday's serve food right through the day. Effortlessly producing a mouth watering range of A la Carte dishes or light snacks to match the occasion, whether it be a quiet lunch for two or entertaining an important client - we will ensure you are well catered for.
