Our Charity Jazz Weekend raised £1575 for the Wooden Spoon - Thank you to everyone who supported us
Welcome to The Jack in the Green
Now officially the Best Restaurant in the South West. (Taste of the West Awards 2009/10)
Despite all the accolades we believe there is always room to improve as a team. Providing exceptional value for money is something very close to our hearts but we also hope to surpass your expectations at every turn.
Now that British Summer Time has finally arrived, the countdown is on to the return of our live Friday night jazz in May. The line up for this year is terrific – something for everyone and the perfect match to our food. We're also hoping for a fantastic summer this year so the attractive courtyard can finally be used.
Take a fresh look at our bar menu and you’ll see several new pub classics have been introduced. These sit alongside the Jack classics like Fish Pie, grilled Black Pudding and our Bangers & Mash - the perfect prelude to one of Scott’s acclaimed desserts.
As many of you know, the Jack has been an extremely loyal supporter of the Wooden Spoon charity for many years now. Normally we donate 50 pence from every single sticky toffee pudding but this year Paul decided to take the pressure off everyone and enter the Great West Run instead.
May 2nd was D-Day and it seems all the training paid off - Paul missed his target of 2 hours by just 23 seconds. A big thank you to everyone who helped us to raise nearly £1,000 for this extremely worthwhile charity. Next year holds an even bigger challenge - the London Marathon at the ripe old age of 50!
